Adam Taylor is a guitarist and composer from Oxford. He writes and performs contemporary jazz music.
In 2014 he was awarded the Jimmy Woode award at the Tuscia in jazz festival, Italy. The jury included Kurt Rosenwinkel, Scott Colley, Eric Harland, Donny McCaslin amongst others. In the same year he was shortlisted for the prestigious Peter Whittingham prize.
In 2013 he was the recipient of the Eric Kershaw memorial prize for plectrum guitar, semi-finalist for the Bucharest international jazz competition and winner of the Leeds College of Music 606 club competition.
He has worked with a variety of artists including: Adam Waldman, Alex Hawkins and Tori Freestone. He also ran a successful jazz club in Oxford, hosting many top names in the UK jazz scene.
Adam Taylor graduated from Leeds College of Music in 2013 with a 1st class bachelor's degree in jazz studies.
